Purple Megalanthus Dragon Fruit is a unique hybrid variety derived from the yellow Colombian dragon fruit (Hylocereus megalanthus). This exciting new release pitaya produces small fruit with striking deep purple flesh and exceptional sweetness.
 
 Known for its very sweet flavour (around 23 Brix), the taste is often described as a refreshing blend of lemonade and berry sherbet. The fruit has firm flesh with crunchy seeds, giving it a satisfying texture when eaten fresh.
 
 This variety is self-pollinating, meaning it can set fruit without needing another dragon fruit plant. It produces large white night-blooming flowers that add ornamental value to the garden. The plant grows as a climbing cactus with slender dark green stems, ideal for training on a trellis, post or support structure.
 
 Purple Megalanthus performs well in warm climates like Perth and WA, making it a great choice for home gardeners looking to grow rare or premium dragon fruit varieties.
