Miho Satsuma Japanese Mandarin, is a easy-peeling and semi-seedless citrus fruit, it is believed that it was originated in Japan or China. This fruit is named after Ushu (Wenzhou), a famous production area of mandarin oranges in China. Miho Satsuma is one of the sweetest citrus varieties. It is usually about the size of a mandarin orange. They are known for their loose, leathery skin. When Satsuma are planted in the colder regions, the fruit becomes sweeter from the colder temperatures. A mature Satsuma can survive up to -9 C (15 F degrees). Satsuma's rarely has any thorns, that is what it makes them popular.
