Florigon Mango Tree

Florigon Mango tree, a cultivar of Mangifera indica, is renowned for its compact size and early fruit yield. Developed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Miami, Florida, it stems from a cross between Haden and Lippens mango varieties. Sporting medium-sized, oval-shaped fruits, its skin adopts a greenish-yellow hue with a pink blush upon ripening. Notably, the flesh is fibreless, boasting a sweet, aromatic, and mildly flavoured profile. A distinctive trait lies in its early fruiting tendency, often preceding other mango varieties. Suited for Perth’s climate, akin to its counterparts, the Florigon Mango tree thrives in such conditions, offering a fruitful addition to orchards and gardens alike in Perth, Western Australia.
