Aztec Gem (Selenicereus Hybrid)

Aztec Gem is a popular dragon fruit variety producing vibrant deep purple flesh with a sweet, fruity flavour. This attractive pitaya is a moderate grower and self-pollinating, making it a reliable choice for home gardens.
 
 Large night-blooming flowers attract pollinators and develop into fruit typically weighing 300–400g. Well suited to tropical and subtropical climates, Aztec Gem grows as a climbing cactus and performs well on trellises, posts or in large containers.
 
 The plant can reach 2–5m tall, but can easily be pruned to maintain a manageable height for harvesting. Drought tolerant once established, it’s a hardy and productive addition to any backyard fruit garden.
