Pink Guava is also known as “super-fruits” unlike white guava has a pink coloured sweet pulp loaded with seeds. With outer skin being rough, often with slight bitter taste, or soft and sweet-tart, depending on the level of ripeness, it gives an unique flavour with musky aroma and creamy in texture.
In some asian countries, guava is a way of life. Since its arrival on the archipelago, the fruit has become a celebrated part of the local diet. It’s a tree that you must have in your garden and simply quartered to be eaten raw.
Guava is a hardy plant and can grow up to 4 to 5 meters high if you don’t prune them for Perth climate. We advise you to keep the plant 2 meter high so that you can reach the fruit with your hand.
